The American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. Annually, AAF-Birmingham bestows this honor upon one outstanding individual based on that person’s contributions to his or her company, the advertising profession and the community.

AAF-Birmingham is now accepting nominations for review by the selection committee, which is made up of past Silver Medal recipients. Supporting letters and/or nomination form submissions do carry weight as they show an additional dimension of the nominee that may help the committee in their consideration.
