Alagasco, the largest natural gas utility in the state, has an immediate opening for an Advertising Coordinator in our Birmingham office.rnrnResponsibilities include:rnrnrnrnAdvertising and Marketing Communicationsrn • Coordinates overall advertising strategy and ensures consistent messaging.rn • Responsible for promoting and protecting the corporate brand.rn • Oversees internal Business Development communications and coordinates with other areas as needed.rn • Responsible for advertising budgeting and calculating ROI and effectiveness of advertising program. rnPublic Relations and Media Relationsrn • Responsible for the development and implementation of public relations activities that support Business Development objectives.rn • Ensures public relations strategy is aligned with advertising objectives.rn • Responsible for the development and implementation of effective media relations program for Alagasco. rnInternal and External Communicationsrn • Responsible for Business Development’s internal and external communications including videos, e-newsletters, Web content and written materials and speeches.rn • Assists with researching and writing news releases, speeches, brochures and a variety of communications to promote Alagasco programs and products. rnWeb Marketing and Consumer Communicationsrn • Responsible for the strategy, design and content of the Business Development areas of Alagasco.com.rn • Uses Web and email to effectively promote natural gas and natural gas products to consumers. rnGraphics and Visual Communicationsrn • Oversees the graphic and visual communications in all media.rn • Ensures consistent branding and imaging.rnrnrnrnRequirementsrnThe qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications and 3+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, public relations or with the news media. In lieu of degree 5+ years of work experience in the previous disciplines will be considered.
