THE OPPORTUNITY:rnStrong, LLC is seeking a smart, ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, strategic-thinking Assistant Account Executive with a passion for great work in our Birmingham, AL office. The primary role is to assist the account team and clients (automotive dealers) with day-to-day project tasks. You will gain experience working with automotive dealerships across the country and focus on their marketing programs. This position has interaction with the entire agency and has daily exposure to the clients via phone and email; occasional exposure in person. He/she will have the opportunity to work with many internal teams including: media, traffic, digital/broadcast/print production, social media/public relations, and creative to ensure client expectations & deliverables are met. We are looking for another team member who is thick-skinned and has an outgoing personality. The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, resourceful, eager, organized, adaptable, and able to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment. rnrnTHE RESPONSIBILITIES:rn• Providing daily administration and assistance to the Account Executive and Account Service ManagerrnSupporting account team in all aspects of client program planning and executionrn• Provide administrative support by preparing written and electronic communications, including client documentation & correspondence, presentations, proposals and interoffice communications.rn• Gathering and assembling background information and analysis as needed by account service in development of reports, plans and strategiesrn• Overall account & strategic support of the business.rn• Maintain client budgets and calendarsrn• Updating client status reportsrn• Gathering competitive and industry intelligencern• Managing multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneouslyrn• Help in the implementation of new programs with new and existing accountsrn• Daily client contact and assisting clients with special projects as necessaryrn• Develop relationships & maintain communication with clients & employeesrn• Responsible for helping prepare new business pitches, proposals and client presentationsrn• Perform pre/post project analysis (job numbers, estimates, recaps, agendas and conference reports)rn• Proactive with ideas, diligent about follow-through, able to manage timelines/workflow, and update team on project developments.rn• Work with internal teams in order to deliver on multiple client's goals, objectives and projects. rn• Ensure that deliverables are on time and within budgetrnrnTHE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR...rn• Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications or related fieldrn• 1-2 years retail marketing, advertising and/or promo experience; advertising agency experience preferred. rn• Understanding of retail and automotive advertising preferredrn• Must possess strong computer skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)rn• Ability and willingness to learn in-house software and platforms (Workamajig is the agency software)rn• High endurance and energy levels—works until the customer/companies needs are metrn• Organizational mastermindrn• Obsessed with attention to detail and accuracyrn• Strong interpersonal skills; Good on the phone with clients and professional in person demeanorrn• Solid verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills are a mustrn• Excellent proofing skillsrn• Superior time & project management skills rn• Ability to juggle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail rn• Ability to exercise creativity, take initiative and take direction and run with itrn• Highly motivated, self-starter who can handle large tasks without a lot of day-to-day handholding rn• Ability work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and tight deadlines, and an appetite to grow within an organizationrn• Occasional travel is requiredrnrnWHO WE ARE:rnFor over 30 years, the Strong team has been working with Tier 3 automotive dealerships across the U.S. We are a full-service automotive advertising, marketing and merchandising agency.
